Brother MFC-L2703DW Driver
Brother MFC-L2703DW Printer Driver Download. When I unpacked the Brother MFC-L2703DW printer, I was amazed. Because only recently I tested the "competitors" Dell E514dw or Dell E515dw. But it seems that there is less competition and more cooperation, because the two printers seem to be (almost) identical. But more on that later, the Brother is a small S / W multifunction laser, but also does not have to hide from so many larger device. Equipment and price are aimed at the home office and smaller offices: Practically anyone who can do without color and despite low investment, a useful S / W all-rounder with moderate follow-up costs. Brother's current designs are becoming ever more modern: even this small 4-in-1 all-rounder would fit well into some chic and modern office space. But in our test, of course, we also looked particularly at the inner values. When I speak of "identical", this is only my personal assessment, so far I have not been confirmed by any side, but the evidence speaks for itself. Not only are the results from the practice test identical, as we will see below, but the case design is very similar. The cases are not completely identical, the Dell is rather a cube, while the Brother is wider towards the top. But the relationship is still clearly recognizable.

For example, look at the placement of the vents in this picture: If one disregards the different equipment (left the Brother with fax function, right of the dell E514dw without fax function) once, you can see some parallels. Even though the cases are not completely identical, I would guess that the inside of the printer could be the same. Even though the printer is identical to the Dell E515dw, I would like to take a brief look at the features here. In addition to the four functions mentioned above (printing, scanning, copying and faxing), the printer has a lot more to offer: it can be connected via LAN, WLAN or USB. Furthermore, it offers a 250-sheet, closed paper cassette and is thus far superior to many other printers in the entry-level segment. It also supports AirPrint and Google CloudPrint, as well as Scan-To-Email or PDF. Only a direct scan in the Dropbox or in the Google Drive are not possible, you would need then the other variant of this printer, the Brother MFC-L2703DW, which has a large touch-screen display instead of many buttons and a small display. Later I will go to the question of which of the two you should buy now. If the devices are really the same, then it would only be a question of the price (and possibly the warranty conditions). But first we come to the results of the practical test.

I did not make it easy and said "The Brother MFC-L2703DW printer is identical to the Dell anyway, I just copy the results from this one". No, instead I did the test with the (apparently) identical brother and lo and behold, the results are actually identical, as you can see on the following picture: Absolutely identical: Even the minimal errors in the print image are identical on the Dell and the Brother: In the second gray area from the top (80% gray), you can see a horizontal stripe in the upper quarter, which is equally present in both printouts. Since the print result of the Brother MFC-L2700DW is identical to that of the Dell, I have no choice but to quote myself: In the grayscale test, 10 different shades of gray are printed on the left side, while on the right side there is a stepless progression from white to black. At first glance you can see some, not disturbing, but visible horizontal stripes. Very good are the contrast values in the extreme areas (almost white and almost black). There are a few problems between the third and fourth field from the top, here is no contrast recognizable. The edges are sharp, there is no ghosting effect on the font.
